General Rules

Nirmal Niketan School, founded on 17th July 1995, is an English Medium Co - Educational School managed by the Nirmal Vice Province of Jagdalpur. The School Intends to make the students honest and responsible persons as well as loyal and upright citizens of our country, India.

All students must be acquainted with the rules notified for their conduct while studying in this School. Ignorance of the rules will not be an excuse.

  • Pupils must be in the School at least ten minutes before each School session. They must sit inside the class rooms and prepare their lessons in silence under the supervision of the class teachers assisted by the class leader till the bell is gone. They are not allowed to play or roam around the school premises in the morning before the School hours.
  • At the end of classes before the students disperse a thanks giving prayer is said in the class under the leadership of the class leader.
  • Student should speak honestly and frankly and should never be shy but cheerful, they must always show the, signs of good manners and culture in conversation saying-Thank you. 'Yes Father/Sister/Sir/Madam etc.
  • Pupil's behaviour should be gentlemanly at all times, and places both inside and outside the School. They should remember that the School is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet especially at the School in the morning for the first time. They also should greet one another. They should respect and obey all the teachers of the school.
  • During the absence of the teacher the class leader will be responsible for the order and discipline of the class and study. At the start of the class, if no teacher has arrived the class leader should see that order and silence is maintained. If after three minutes the teacher does not arrive, the leader should inform the Principal. Only the class leaders are allowed to enter the staff rooms.
  • The Secretaries of the Cultural Association in each class take leadership in conducting the regular weekly class meetings.
  • Pupils should speak in English in the class rooms and in the campus.
  • To give presents to teachers the pupils require the previous sanction of the Principal.
  • Private tuitions, whether of the School staff or not, may be arranged for, in case of need, only after obtaining permission from the Principal in writing.
  • Running, playing or shouting inside the School, particularly in the class room, is never allowed. Pupils should not be roaming about the School verandas during the class hours and while moving they should see to it that neighbouring classes are not disturbed.
  • Every pupil must possess a copy of the Hand Book which must be brought to the class every day.
  • Pupils who are late or absent must bring a written application from their parents or guardians and must enter in the "Leave Record/Absence Record" page of the handbook duly signed by the parents. Barring cases of illness or emergency leave shall be obtained in advance.
  • Irregular attendance, carelessness in study, obscedity in words or acts, insubordination to teachers, any kind of cheating or serious misconduct even outside the School premises or any habit or behaviour objectionable to the good tone of the School, are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a pupil.
  • Those students who have been absent from School for more than a fortnight without proper reason will be, removed from the rolls and as a rule and they may not be re-admitted. If in any case they are admitted, they will have to pay entrance fee again, also the arrears, if any.
  • Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. Each article should be marked with their names. No pupil shall enter any class room other than his/ her own without the permission of the teachers.
  • Students should see that no damage is done to the School property. They should not write on or disfigure the walls, furniture or library books. Damages, if any caused through inadvertence or otherwise, should be brought to the notice of the authorities. Those who cause such damage will have to repair the same at their own cost. The decision of the Principal regarding the same will be final.
  • No collection for any purpose whatsoever is to be taken without the previous permission of the Principal.
  • No books other than text books or library books, newspaper or periodicals or transistors or curious article may be brought to the School without the approval of the Principal.
  • Pupils who have recently been suffering from or exposed to any contagious disease will not be allowed to attend the School until complete recovery.
  • For breach of the School rules or norms of conduct, a pupil may be punished or fined at the discretion of the Principal.
